Historical Professional Career
Peter’s career began in accountancy firms, where he spent roughly ten years gaining experience in bookkeeping, year-end closings, tax compliance, and advisory services for companies across a wide range of industries. This period laid the foundation for his strong technical knowledge of financial processes and Belgian accounting legislation.
He then transitioned into the corporate world, taking on financial roles within Belgian companies with a global outlook and international operations. Through these positions, he developed solid expertise in management reporting, internal controls, audit coordination, cash flow management, and supporting both operational and strategic decision-making. His technical background is reinforced by a degree in Accounting and a postgraduate qualification in Taxation.
Since January 2026, Peter has been working as Head of Accounting within a company, where he is responsible for further developing a modern finance organization that supports management with reliable figures, valuable insights, and efficient processes.
I currently lead the evolution of a modern finance organization powered by reliable data, sharp insights, and streamlined processes.
I am an enthusiastic and driven finance professional who firmly believes that strong results are achieved through a combination of expertise, collaboration, and a healthy dose of curiosity. People often describe me as approachable, communicative, and spontaneous. I gain energy from building relationships, sharing knowledge, and working together to create meaningful improvements.
Beyond my professional passion for finance and process optimization, I am above all a sports enthusiast. Tennis, golf, and cycling play an important role in my free time. Sport has taught me that discipline, perseverance, and continuous improvement matter not only on the court or the golf course, but also in everyday life and in the workplace. A few years ago, I even decided to pursue a personal dream by coaching young tennis players recreationally and sharing my passion for sport with them.
I am someone who loves to keep learning and exploring new technologies, methods, and ideas. That curiosity translates not only into my professional development, but also into my hobbies. Whether it’s a tennis racket, golf set, bicycle, or a digital tool, I believe that good equipment and proper maintenance make all the difference. I find great satisfaction in optimizing, caring for, and improving the things I work with — both professionally and personally.
When I’m not immersed in numbers, sports, or technology, you will often find me at the sidelines of a football pitch cheering for my son, or enjoying a match of Royal Antwerp FC. For me, success is not only about performance, but also about enjoyment, connection, and continuously growing as a person.
